Eliminating the Ignition switch on '05 600rr

Has anyone done this yet?

it's my race bike and I am sick of worrying about losing my key and not being able to race.

I noticed there is only Two wires that feed into it.
So my question is does eliminating this ignition require installing a diode in it's place or can I just run a toggle?

thanks,

jim

That's what I want to do but I know for a fact that on the 03-04 600rr's there is a little pink wire that is also connected to the ignition switch and if you don't run a diode from it to one of the larger guage wires your fuel pump won't fire up.

I don't have my bike right now (it's getting a quick shifter put on it) or I'd be pluggin and chuggin

Just was wondering if anyone has ever done this to an 05-06 600rr yet I guess.

No diode needed on the 05-06.
