Change oil and filter after every weekend
lube chain Check brakes (fluid, pads, etc) rebuild once a year Re-torque anything that was changed or removed Check chain slack check safety wire keep at least 1/2 tank fuel (93-94 octane with added booster) Keep an eye on tire wear and pressures |

well, for the weekend itself is nothing more then tire monitoring and pressures as well as checking for any leaks.
new tires, oil change and preparation should be done before (some of us dont). but first things first....i have a moment with myself and the bike, then work my self to tire pressure and making sure all bolts are tight and in place between tire, brake calipers and rotors. then lube the chain. here is something that could save your life beleave it or not...how many of you (us) have changed tires the day of the trackday early in the morning and have gotton on your bike and ride away all full of piss and vinager just to find out right before you get to the pits that OH SHIT I DIDN'T PUMP MY BRAKES. i know of this one guy that total his bike (broke his frame) when he was on his way to the pit in and had no brakes because he didn't pump them after tire change because he hit the wall straight up. so yeah, i make sure i pump all brakes while doing my inspection and check for throttle not sticking, adjust levers if need to. Once fully suited and mounted i check the bars from lock to lock and then i will tuck under the screen for a little prayer soon after that...lets get this party started. LOL |
